I have also been able to make a few designer purchases recently. (2) Designer + Artist limited collections wallpapers but I don‘t (yet) but at least I got the dress! I wish I could live in a cottage with William Morris & Co. I did not hesitate to buy it because I got to buy into an aesthetic that I love. It goes beyond just fashion designer collaborations, too - I have a William Morris x H&M dress that makes me feel like Florence Welch whenever I wear it. And in a weird, twisted way, buying from these collections almost feels thrifty: I can own a piece from this designer without the insane price tag? A BARGAIN! It might just good old-fashioned FOMO that makes me purchase something but I think that I also make myself believe that - because it‘s a designer collaboration - the design, cut and quality of the item is somehow better than a regular Uniqlo item. I‘ve really cut back on fast fashion but whenever Uniqlo announces a new designer collaboration, I have to check it out and I‘ve found that I am more likely to buy from these collections. More specifically: Designer+Fast Fashion collabs and Designer+Artist limited collections. I have also become more conscious about the things that I tend to fall victim to the most and there is one topic in particular that I would love to discuss: Limited collaborations. The pandemic has really made me rethink my shopping habits. I‘ve really enjoyed reading people‘s thoughts about low buys and trying to shop more sustainably on here. How do you feel about fast fashion + designer collabs and limited collaborations in general? Are you more likely to purchase from a collection like that?
